Waiting in Limbo.

This is all due to the present problem I am having, although I am not in extreme pain, the occasional sharpness of the short stabbing pains are more than a nuisance, my right temple as I write throbs intermittently. Although there seems to be no change from yesterday's symptoms, I slept well without waking last night without any help from pills and avoiding sleep during the day and retiring around 1230 am after falling asleep in front of the telly.
I have eaten a healthy breakfast and have walked around the garden, the wind chill factor is fairly severe to us bona fides ( Temp 15 deg) at 1030 am, courtesy of a 50 knot southerly from Antarctica, two days ago the Midday temp was 32 deg.
Before overheating the phone for hours on Thursday, searching for a Neurologist who wasn't too busy, beloved and I attended the funeral of a close friend, I then had a sneak preview of an adjacent plot (Paid up by yours truly) looking down where I stood I said, "See you later".
Although I am in no hurry to retire to my final abode, this strange phenomena emanating from my bonce is not giving rise to any thoughts of immortality, With thirty two days to go before my consultation with the  Neurologist, it seems daunting, prompting the necessity to cast aside fear and sharpen my sword to fight off the grim reaper.
There is little I can do in order to jump the queue, paying the normal non govt assisted fees does not give me a HEAD start.  Maybe the Packer boy and his cronies with mile deep wallets would command quicker attention.
Searching on the net I discovered there were more than double the number of  head  Docs in 'Joe bonkers banana land', AKA , Queensland; although the population is significantly smaller, It could be the sunshine or the booze they drink, generally they  do talk slowly  I am told by my shrink, who suggests it is because not having much to talk about and stretching the conversation beyond "yes' and "no.". Our two grandchildren in Queensland take note.
No doubt there will be my detractors who will show lack of  concern and quote - my demise would freshen the air and provide more breeding space for large horny Catholic and Muslim families and one less person to rile the gun loving people of our planet and not forgetting the opportunity for a recently discovered relative to cross me off the building block of her family tree  she has traced back to Moshe the great of biblical fame.
Ah well, enough of self pity, There will be those I will agree with who will, quote "You deserve all you get".
My reply is, "you true believers are more likely not to get what you expect". Actually it was not long back when I received a message from 'After Life Communications Founder' Mike. The 'Lower deck lawyer' that (IT) was full to capacity with only non air conditioned basement accommodation available. I reckon staying in limbo  and having fun  terrifying  your progeny with  your midnight apparition is the best option or possibly one could go for the Lazarus deal with cryogenics.
I now ask myself, " why should I be despondent on a beautiful day like  to day, every one else  is happy and the sun is now shining. It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult. So when you get to the end of your tether tie a Knot and hang on.

Returning later. Vest Daily Gaggle.

the Hindus believe in reincarnation,
if u been good u achieve moksha

if u been bad as u been
u will reincarnate in a lower life form

so why worry !
u may reincarnate in INDIA as a Harijan

thats not too bad
u can then convert to Christianity

I dont believe that is is rong to love another mans wife

there is aq story told of a rich man who lived in a palatial house

the walls were decorated with wall paintings and they were exquisite

but the owner never saw the beauty in the canvas

and then he had an Indian butler
who really adored the paintings

and he also lusted for the rich mans wife

who was alone and lonely

while the rich man went on pleasure jaunts to Bangkok and far off places

DR: Is there ever any justification for not being honest with someone who is dying, about the fact that they are dying?
Jimmy said…
ELISABETH KUBLER-ROSS: You have to be honest, but you don't have to be totally honest.

You have to answer their questions, but don't volunteer information for which they have not asked, because that means they're not ready for it yet.

If somebody thinks you're a good guy if you tell them the whole truth, that there's nothing else we can do, this is baloney.

Without miracles, there are many, many ways of helping somebody, without a cure.

So you have to be very careful how you word it. And you never, ever, ever take hope away from a dying patient.

Without hope nobody can live. You are not God. You don't know what else is in store for them, what else can help them, or how meaningful, maybe, the last six months of a person's life are.

So you don't just go and drown them in "truth." My golden rule has been to answer all the questions as honestly as I can.

If they ask me statistically what are their chances...I had a wonderful teacher, who once said that of his patients 50 percent live one year, another 35 percent live two years, and another so-and-so many per cent live two and a half years, and so on.

If you were very smart and added all the percentages up, there was always one per cent left.

And the real shrewd ones said, "Hey, you forgot, what about that last one per cent?" And he always said, "the last per cent is for hope."

I like that. He never gave it to them with 100%. He was fantastic.

India does not have a monopoly on corruption it is widespread everywhere in the world.
It should be the responsibility of the HAVES to ensure the HAVE NOTS meaning those through no fault of their own making, remain above the

Vest,

We are in agreement that whistleblowers have problems with corruption all over the world. There have been whistleblowers murdered here in the US, too (like Karen Silkwood).

I also agree that it is the responsibility of the HAVES to eradicate poverty in the world. I know many people are working on the UN's Millennium goals, but we need more people, everyone, to join in. Hopefully, we, as a community, can find the words and the non-violent actions that will inspire others to join us.

its about corruption in the Flameproof Industry in INDIA.

I was an insider, I was QA Manager of CEAG FCG and was a party to signing fake TCs testifying 100% hyd testing when no tests were done.

The practice continues, this equipment lying in IOC Jaipur was responsible for the massive recently in the OIL TANKING Depot.

The GOVT. investigation committee did a cover up.

Peaceful Simplicity: How to Live a Life of Contentment

This fantastic quote summarizes something that I’ve been trying to focus on recently in my daily life:

“Whatever the tasks, do them slowly
with ease,
in mindfulness,
so not do any tasks with the goal
of getting them over with.
Resolve to each job in a relaxed way,
with all your attention.”
- Thich Nhat Hanh, Zen Master

In our daily lives, we often rush through tasks, trying to get them done, trying to finish as much as we can each day, speeding along in our cars to our next destination, rushing to do what we need to do there, and then leaving so that we can speed to our next destination.

Unfortunately, it’s often not until we get to our final destination that we realize what madness this all is.
Jimmy said…
At the end of the day, we’re often exhausted and stressed out from the grind and the chaos and the busy-ness of the day. We don’t have time for what’s important to us, for what we really want to be doing, for spending time with loved ones, for doing things we’re passionate about.

And yet, it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s possible to live a simpler life, one where you enjoy each activity, where you are present in everything (or most things) you do, where you are content rather than rushing to finish things.
Jimmy said…
take a step back and think about what’s important to you.

What do you really want to be doing, who do you want to spend your time with, what do you want to accomplish with your work?

Make a short list of 4-5 things for your life, 4-5 people you want to spend time with, 4-5 things you’d like to accomplish at work.

Examine your commitments. A big part of the problem is that our lives are way too full. We can’t possibly do everything we have committed to doing, and we certainly can’t enjoy it if we’re trying to do everything.

Accept that you can’t do everything, know that you want to do what’s important to you, and try to eliminate the commitments that aren’t as important.
Jimmy said…
.

Now, slow down and enjoy every task.

This is the most important tip in this article. Read it twice.

Whatever you’re doing, whether it’s a work task or taking a shower or brushing your teeth or cooking dinner or driving to work, or making love

slow down. Try to enjoy whatever you’re doing. Try to pay attention, instead of thinking about other things. Be in the moment.
Jimmy said…
there isn’t anything that can’t be enjoyable if you give it the proper attention.

Single-task. This is kind of a mantra of mine, as I talk about how to single-task all the time. But it’s an important point for me, and for this article. Do one thing at a time, and do it well.
Jimmy said…
Eat slower.
Drive slower.

Eliminate stress.

Do nothing. Sometimes, it’s good to forget about doing things, and do nothing.

Sprinkle simple pleasures throughout your day. Knowing what your simple pleasures are, and putting a few of them in each day, can go a long way to making life more enjoyable.
