The Spring Has Sprung?. Well Nearly. Love is in the air too.

Three days to go before our Aussie Spring. Alternate days of rain wind and sunshine preceded the past two days of what could be described as beautiful English type Summer weather. Everything in the garden is in top form, my vegetable garden of Carrots, Leeks, Herbs, parsnips, turnips, swedes, spring-onions, huge Oriental Radish, R/Beans and three varieties of tomato are coming along fine, it is a pity I am now not as sprightly as my veggies.  Wednesday I have another circulation check and the 7th sees me on the table for more water works poking around, do you ever worry about not waking at these procedures? well I have made it back five times in the past three years.
Most of my school day friends must have passed on as I have no knowledge of any  being around in the UK
We visited the local graveyard in the U/K last year, most of them  pushing up the daises and providing vital nutrients for the ancient Yew Trees. Out living them must be a privilege; although in my case I have considered there is more to life than the joyless pursuit of good health and despite of this one doctor going back a couple of years consoled me by saying I was centenary material, so if that is the case you guys out there who get that feeling someone is crawling up their back when I visit their blog can settle down for I am here for the long haul.
Haven't heard from our P/Son lately; we hope he is well.
There will be a gathering of the clans during the wedding of my No two son's only  daughter of his  second marriage on the 25th of September, Nicole, Suzanne, Coral, Pamela, Rosemary  B....r will be tying the Knot with Mitchell, Lalor, a policeman,
Well unless I have missed something normality is the present state of affairs, nothing unusual, there has been a downturn on the number of callers commenting on this site. so following this post I shall endeavour to produce something more palatable. I'll be off now for my Midday Nod , get back to you later. Vest.
Have a Fruitful week.

Are Your Eggs Safe? Follow These Eggspert Tips.

Just in case the eggs are imported into Australia(which is doubtful) it is handy to know what is going on in the USA and the problems that can occur when handling chicken products; particularly eggs. This would also include eggs consumed from other domestic and farmed Poultry, ie geese ducks etc.
Last week, the U S Food and Drug Administration recalled 380 million eggs that were linked to outbreaks of illness nationwide caused by salmonella, a bacteria that leads to food poisoning. This week, the massive recall expanded to more than half a billion eggs. The problem of contaminated eggs continues, and the FDA may widen the recall even further since it has yet to discover how the chickens and eggs were contaminated.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, about 1,300 people have been sickened by salmonella, which can cause vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, chills, fever, and even death.
Salmonella is an important disease and can be life-threatening for many people. If you develop salmonella poisoning and you're healthy and strong, you may not need treatment, the disease usually lasts four to seven days.
But the elderly, very young, and those with compromised immune systems are at risk. These people need to get medical advice and treatment, Fortunately, salmonella poisoning can be treated with readily available antibiotics.

Two egg producers, Hillandale Farms of Iowa and Wright County Egg, are the potential sources. The two producers are jointly owned and share chicken and chicken feed suppliers. There is no evidence that the outbreak extends beyond these two producers.
The eggs in question were sold under the Albertson and Ralphs brands in addition to Hillandale, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Kemps, Dutch Farms, Lucerne, Mountain Dairy, Boomsma's, Trafficanda, and Sunshine. The eggs are packaged in six- to 18-egg cartons. The packages are stamped with packing code numbers 136 to 225 (May 16 to Aug. 13), and come from plant Nos. 1026, 1413, or 1946. Codes and dates are stamped on the ends of the cartons.

In the meantime, how do you protect yourself and your family from being sickened by salmonella-infected eggs?  The following tips will help keep you healthy:.
Cook eggs until both egg white and egg yolk are firm throughout. Cook all egg mixtures to 160 F.

Avoid uncooked eggs in any form including Caesar salad, sunny-side up eggs, French toast, and hollandaise sauce.
When buying eggs, check inside the carton to make sure all eggs are clean and uncracked.
Buy eggs pasteurized in their shells. The pasteurization process destroys salmonella. The packaging should be clearly marked if the eggs are pasteurized in their shells.
Keep eggs refrigerated in the coldest part of the refrigerator, not in the refrigerator door.
Use good hygiene. When you break the egg, throw away the egg shell and don't contaminate the counter top in your kitchen. We should be very cautious in how we handle them, how we clean them, and how we use them. Wash your hands after handling them.
More government regulation isn't the answer to salmonella-infected eggs,  I don't think we need more regulations. We just need to realize that eggs can carry salmonella, and we need to be careful.

Election Time in Oz Strayer and Two Losers to choose from. Strewth!!!

Tomorrow is Election Day in Australia, Could it be erection time? maybe if you are oriental or It could be the little man you call uncle next door, your friendly priest, your milkman or geezers like this little prick pictured left.
This sleasy slime bag who our very lives depended on back a bit, is caught out perving on some nifty nipples while his right hand is tickling her bot.
So it seems even the most highly respected can turn into the disrespectful. did you vote for this bum pinching Chicken Hawk in the last election, too bad he lost his seat and the election, and took his mate Costello with him otherwise we may be having the Govt run by Abbott & Costello, provided the Mad Monk Tony Abbott becomes the PM, but hopefully not.
Many of life's failures are people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up.
But no person has the right to rain on your dreams, Use your Vote  tomorrow for the good of all, not your own selfish needs. Vest Daily Gaggle.

A re-run but topical, LOONEY AMERICANS ELECT DECEASED CANDIDATE

                                                                                                                                                                                       LOONEY AMERICANS ELECT DECEASED CANDIDATE

MARIE STEICHEN died two months ago- but that has not stopped her being elected county commissioner for a small Dakota town.

JERAUL county electoral official Cindy Peterson said the vote list had closed on August 1, a month before Ms Steichen had died of cancer. That meant her name was kept on the list for Tuesday's election.

Voters then handed the dead woman a 100 vote to 64 win over her embarrassed Republican rival.

Ms Peterson said she believed voters knew she was dead, but still wanted to make their political point.

DISSAPOINTED Minnesota left wingers had their nemesis returned in the form of Tim Pawlenty, much moaning and whining is expected from the Garage Building community in the sticksville district of Ranier Minnesota. Will these moaning Minnesotans ever get it right? Their Previous Governor was a devout Lutheran Wrestler and Disc Jockey, who gave equal time to the Kneelers, Sporty's and lovers of Heavy Metal, but earned the wrath of the Sticksville shed erectors. 'Such is life'.

The Pope Is Gay?."Can this be true".

The question arises once more.
What totally masculine man with all the bells and whistles and a North and South type attraction to femininity in women would discard those privileges to the whims of archaic eccleslastical fairy stories set in stone by the church of Rome?
I believe the answer is in the deep seated fear installed in the child by equally fearful parents and guardians and their forbears.
Despite higher education and the revolt by Catholics over recent years realising much of the ministerings of the faith was mostly flamboyant hogwash, fear is still the dominating factor controlling the Catholic priesthood.
Ok then its a job some one must do it , who better than those with less masculinity who resort to unconventional forms sexual behaviour, although fast becoming condoned by nations worldwide Buggery is now, so it appears to be the choice of fifty percent of  priests within the church of Rome.
Mind you the Anglican churches have their own dossier of dodgy deacons but minuscule to the proportions of their non marrying  mates within the Catholic Ideology.
Will commonsense and reasoning be the deathnell of all superstition and religion? it appears to be so. Vest.

HUTTON Gibson, the 91-year-old father of disgraced actor Mel Gibson, has sparked global outrage after he labelled Pope Benedict XVI a homosexual.
In the interview, the host asked Gibson if the Catholic Church has become "politicized" to the point that it cant address issues like homosexuality.
Gibson responded that the Church would not address homosexuality because "half of the people there in the Vatican are queer."

When asked if he thinks Benedict is among those homosexuals, Gibson said, "I certainly do."

Gibson also called the Pope "a slippery character" and claimed he is part of a conspiracy to destroy the Catholic Church.
Hutton Gibson has advanced several conspiracy theories related to the Catholic Church, the Holocaust and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, including the idea that the Church's opening of the Second Vatican Council in 1962 was an attempt by Jews and Freemasons to take over the Church.
