The Rainbow Bridge, Remembering Lucky our pet Cockatiel.

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of all its beautiful colours.

Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
There is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, your pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.

Here old and frail animals are made young again.
Those who were sick, hurt or in pain are made whole again.
There is only one thing missing,

They are not with their special person who loved them so much on earth.
So each day they run  fly and play until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches! The ears are up!
The eyes are staring and this one runs from the group!
You have been seen. and when you and your special friend meet,
you take her in your arms and hug her.
She pecks and kisses your face again and again -
and you look once more into the eyes of your best friend and trusting
pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never again to be apart.

It's both heartwarming and crushing that birds have such vast lifespans that they do.

Should they be loved likewise, they allow us to develop deeper relationships that time allows. Friendships can be easy to make, but keeping one for so long is a beautiful experience.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Dylan. Thank you, Grandson.
I was so very sorry to read of your loss.
Someday I hope to make my way to that bridge.

That’s beautiful Uncle Les and very touching 🥰 Lucky was very “lucky” to have been loved so much.

I hope you and Chris are keeping safe and well, I will be in touch very soon.

I moved house 🏠 yesterday, the move went very well and I’m feeling very much at home already.
I will message Chris with my new address.

Sending lots of love and hugs to you as always xoxo

Tears here. I love my two furry mates so very much...they are my life.

To lose one's beloved pet is heartbreaking...I do understand how you feel. I empathise and sympathise. I still miss pets I've lost over the years of my life...Often I think of them, and I still remember each one of them with much love.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you, Vest...take good care of yourself.

This is beautiful, you made me cry with it. I hope it really does happen that way.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but you've expressed that loss beautifully. Losing one of our pets is like losing a much-loved family member... and they take tiny little pieces of our heart with them. I hope we do reunite again. I've lost lots of pieces over the years.

Lee. Thank you. We are friendly with our neighbours . in the past three years our combined population of humans and pets totalled 13, we are now down to 8, less two wives a husband one tomcat and a dicky bird. Minnie my Pussycat is my constant companion and loves me to bits and provides me with 75% of conversation during these times of incarceration.

I wonder how happy people will be chosen to enter Paradise over the Rainbow Bridge ...

Himawan Sant. Only those deserving of such a privilege will be selected, but that, in turn, creates the dilemma, who does the choosing? Thank you for calling. I shall call on your blog soon.
