Bullying and how to deal with this never ending problem.

BULLYING has a multitude of levels from the kindergarten to strong nations holding power over lesser nations.
So what is bullying all about? Opinions vary, however, intimidation comes to mind to be the main culprit.
Bullying is when people repeatedly and intentionally use words or actions against someone or a
group of people or one nation against a lesser nation  to cause distress and fear to their wellbeing.
These actions are usually done by people who have more influence or power over someone else( but not necessarily having more intelligence) simply people who want to make someone else feel less powerful or helpless, generally these days they are referred to as control freaks.
Did you know? Children exposed to abuse, hostility, physical discipline and aggressive behaviours from parents are more likely to model that at school. while this is a minefield of opposing views, research has shown some children's brains are wired in ways that make them more genetically predisposed to bullying.

I recall a type of bullying in my local club by a smart arse woman who had the gift of the gab and no matter what was said by who at our table this woman would deliberately interject with a non affined statement with the soul intention to disrupt the conversation to the annoyance of others.
The smirk on this womans face indicating she was enjoying the discomfort of the people at the table was soon to dissapear.
A male friend after a quick discussion in the loo, told the bouncer she was touting for business. On arrival of said bouncer,I got up and said to the woman "No I dont want to pay a hundred bucks to have sex with you; even if it was for free I wouldn't. yeah say the others. shove off.
The bouncer showed her the door.
Haven't seen her since.

Good one Vest.

For every why she had a wherefore.

Somebody has to have the last word. If not, every argument could be opposed by another and we would never be done with it. Mike.

The reason why we have two ears and only one mouth is that we may listen more and talk less.

From my memoirs.

If I could ever recover a period of my former life, it would be the time I spent at HNA from 16 December 1936 to 7 January 1942.
I can certainly relate to the problems of the ‘stolen generation’ in Australia.
I joined the Royal Navy at fifteen years of age, when I wasn’'t even old enough by law to vote, drink, smoke, borrow,(or bonk) or sign a legal document.
Who was responsible for signing my life away by allowing this unusual privilege?
Maybe wartime rules were different! As far as I can tell, the only good things that came out of my time in the Royal Navy were my monthly pension and gaining a broader outlook on life. I can’not help but think how different my life would have been had I not joined the Royal Navy.

Bullying at the Watts Naval Training School was rife. About ten of us thirteen-year-olds
formed a protection society. It worked well. Ginger Williams, a noted bully and anvil head, thumped Ernie Booker, who was tougher than most. A challenge to fight Ginger was made by Ernie. After dinner, the boys formed a circle with Ginger in the middle outside of the cricket pavilion. Ernie came in with his hand hidden behind his back. Ginger grabbed Ernie, who delivered his blow -– a handful of dog droppings
from Ricky Pinder’s dog smacked into Gingers face, It was all over. Ginger was beaten at last.

Ernie Booker’s escapades and frequent clashes with the school
authorities came to a head, when he was asked to come down from the
mast where he had been swinging on the footropes of the yardarm sixty
feet up, Ernie replied, “Come and get me, cowardly custard!” (Ernie was of lower ‘B’ stock! a bit thick in the head) Shortly afterwards, Ernie was expelled from the
school.

... And I'll bet you thought your school was tough.
