NEWS. Some Good, Some Bad Some Sad

Not a bad weekend despite the Sun disappearing and the rains arriving. Rosemary and I met people at the Soccer club(Assoc Football) on Friday and again on Saturday after visiting one of our three ex daughters in law whom we have happy times together with our two Grand daughters Tamara, and Jacinta who was celebrating her 13th birthday. Those two girls are deadly gorgeous.
We met the son of our KGV( SHIP)assoc /sec, David T (The Keyboard Player with the Top notch band; playing at the club, who informed me his father's 84th birthday was on the Sunday and would I write a message for him, duly done it read; "Wishing you a Happy Birthday on your Fourth 21st", Phil rang me about an hour ago and we had a good chat.
Today Harry L my dear friend and chairman of our Naval Assoc phoned early to inform me that three more of the KGV Ships Assoc U/K had crossed the bar, all of whom were young kids of 19 when WW2 ended all of us with 3 or more years of service in WW2. it is difficult to remember every one in a crew of 1800, But one of the nicer blokes I remember well was Peter Gavin, Lt/Cdr Retired. VALE PETER.
Ten years in retro there were 52 members of the OZ KGV Assoc, Alphabetically I topped the list, and still do with just ten following, Five are older than me and I the last of the 1945 aged 19 year olds.
The good news depending how you feel about me is "I Ain't Going Yet". It has been decided that, in four to five weeks I will be given a OP day, in order to fix my ballooning Aorta Valve, I have been informed that it is elective surgery and although not life threatening, I must still apply caution when crossing the road.
Well that's it for now, the storm outside has spoofed the TV so it seems We will be involved in chatter for the remainder of the evening, better still a shower then bed. Back soon Vest.

The last three of the dozen or so books I had a few days ago; are staying put with me. One of them is spoken for, the remaining two wrapped and saved. I shall not be wasting my precious time making pennies from selling books. All future sales will be from the publisher or B&N and Amazon. info is available from me for purchasing details. The two people who failed to send their address, after several requests, need not bother, I have no time for ditherer's, particularly number stackers.

Noisy sex equals good sex

Expert view
There's no link here between porn and real-life sex.
Why some women wail more than Destiny's Child and others just murmur is a personal thing, not a reflection on your carnal prowess.

"The emotional explosion in some people is due to the release of natural 'emotional chemicals' during sex, like serotonin and adrenaline," says sex therapist Julia Cole.

Want to know whether that moan of pleasure is genuine?
Women's chests flush red when they're fully aroused.
Plus she'll have torn your hair out.

Australian killed in Calangute brawl
HERALD CORRESPONDENT

CALANGUTE, OCT 8 – A petty quarrel over the delay in serving beer took a violent turn, when an Australian tourist was allegedly lynched by waiters at a restaurant in Calangute on Wednesday morning.
Two waiters and a security guard have been detained in this connection.

While Calangute police remained tight-lipped on details into the incident, police sources disclosed that the incident took place when John Kelly (65) went to the restaurant and ordered for a beer.
The Australian was reportedly unhappy with the waiter over the delay in serving him the beer and allegedly abused the waiter. The quarrel then led to a scuffle between the tourist and the waiter.

Other waiters and a security guard then rushed to their colleague’s aid and brutally assaulted Kelly, who fell unconscious at the restaurant.
He was later shifted to the Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim, where he was declared dead. Autopsy reports have confirmed that death was caused due to internal bleeding in the abdomen, said police sources.
Sources added that though the accused have been identified, no arrests were made till late night.
The incident could batter the image of the State, which ushered its tourism season only a few days ago and is awaiting its first set of charter tourists on Thursday.
Meanwhile the Tourism Ministry was put on the backfoot over the murder. Lyndon Monteiro, Officer on Special Duty to Tourism Minister Mickky Pacheco who is in the US said it is very sad that such a thing has happened and that too at the beginning of the new tourism season.

He, however, said it’s an isolated case and that details were still awaited. “Nonetheless, we assure that we’ll work through the Home Department that the guilty are punished.”

US meltdown: NRI kills family, himself

Authorities believe Karthik Rajaram killed his family and himself after seeing his finances wiped out by the stock market collapse

Los Angeles: Shocked by finding himself a pauper from a millionaire overnight by the plunging US stock market, an unemployed Indian origin businessman took the extreme step of shooting and killing his wife, three children and mother-in-law, before taking his own life on Monday.

Karthik Rajaram, 45, who once made more than $1.2 million in a London-based venture fund, was found dead in his Porter Ranch home here along with his wife Subasri, 39, mother-in-law, 70, and three sons Krishna, 19, Ganesha, 12, and Arjuna, 7.

Authorities believe Rajaram, an MBA, killed his family and himself after seeing his finances wiped out by the stock market collapse, Los Angeles Times reported on Tuesday.

“To us it appears to be a financial stake, a crisis situation that this man became embroiled in over the past few weeks,” police said.

On September 16, Rajaram bought a gun. He wrote two suicide notes and a last will and testament.

And then, sometime between Saturday night and last morning, he killed his wife, mother-in-law and three sons, and took his own life.

“This is a perfect American family behind me that has absolutely been destroyed, apparently because of a man who just got stuck in a rabbit hole,” said LAPD Deputy Chief Michel Moore.

In a letter addressed to the police, Rajaram blamed his actions on economic hardships.

A second letter, labelled “personal and confidential,” was addressed to family friends; the third contained a last will and testament, Moore added.

My aged computer and its multiple implants is on its way out. The LT I am using is not much better, so there will be a minor slackening off from blogging for possibly a week or so, however, I shall try my best to keep going if possible.

Night owl: Thanks.

Wally: A numbers stacker. Even I in retirement cannot find the time to answer each idividual comment as some guys do. Impressive daily comment numbers are embellished by one word or one line nonesensical replies that equal the comments, it may be termed politeness by some. I call it time wasting egotism.
Reminds me of the saying.

Human evolution may be winding down as the forces that once drove it - Older fathers, isolated communities and widespread child mortality - disappear.
Lifestyle changes have seen the rate of genetic mutations fall dramatically.
Powerful men who once fathered dozens or hundreds of children, often into their 60s and 70s, have given way in most developed parts of the world to younger fathers who tend to sire just a few children in their 20s and 30s.
Child survival rates have also improved in much of the world, cutting natural selection pressures.
East African Countries generally have the worst humanitarian and child survival problems.
