A Merry Christmas "Everyone"

I have not been well over the past few weeks, in and out of hospitals and doctors appointments never-ending  I shall endeavour to get back on track in the new year. Weather patterns are crazy at the moment. 46 c here yesterday at noon but this morning a chilly 17 c. wearing a woolly at the moment and it is 24 c.
It will be a very quiet Christmas for my elder son and me, although we will be visiting my dear lady wife  Rosemary on Xmas eve, a few tears no doubt.
Ginger our old Tom puss had to be put down; Cancer, Chris has his ashes in a box in his office.
Minney our female puss is into mouse hunting at the moment, there seems to be a tribe of mice dwelling under the covered decking, burying tiny mice has become a morning chore. in the evenings while watching the television, Minney will perch on the arm of the sofa without fail to look into my eyes meows meaning I love you, nice daddy.- most of my conversation in this house is with the cat, who is sitting near my feet looking up while I write.
Chris has gone to bed. he rarely say's 'Goodnight' or 'Good morning' unless prompted. I shall watch television until sleep overtakes my weary frame and the trot off to bye-byes.
 Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Les,

I did enquire how you have been via Chris's prior Facebook post from a few weeks ago and glad to hear you are well.

Thank you too for the lovely Christmas card, I have been rather late sending mine out so hopefully you have received it or will shortly. I also included a newsletter.

Hope the fires and smoke haven't affected you both too much. It's been so very sad and tragic to hear about the firefighters deaths and of course, residents including our flora and fauna.

It was nice to have a much cooler day today. So much so that I dressed in long pants, long top and socks! Just wish it would rain.

Have a lovely evening.

Hi Uncle Les
Here’s hoping that 2020 will be better for you and that your health improves ❤️
We’ve been following the news regarding the terrible bush fires over there and sincerely hope that you are all safe, it’s so worrying.
I will be Skyping shortly after Christmas and hope to speak to you then.
Thank you for our lovely Christmas card, we’re wishing you and all the family a happy and peaceful Christmas šŸŽ„ šŸŽ…
Lots of love from Christine and all the family over here.

It is lovely to hear from you again and to know that as Andrew says you are ok(ish).
I am sorry to hear about Ginger (and thank you for relieving his pain).
Of course you will visit Rosemary, and of course there will be tears. She is never far from your mind.
I hope you enjoy your quiet Christmas.

I'm sorry to learn you're not feeling too good, Vest...take it steady.

The only conversations I have around here are with my two furry mates...and with myself, of course. We have great chats. I get more sense from my two cats than I do from most people! :)

I hope you have a relaxed Christmas, Vest. Tears for departed loved ones...human and four-legged....are never far from the surface, and are not to be ashamed of, nor, in my opinion, should they be contained...cherished memories are held close.

Merry Christmas, dear man.
