Seventy Seven years ago

Seventy-seven years ago I Vest joined the British Royal  Navy. After twenty-four and a half years I retired on an indexed pension for the past Fifty two and a half years.. There were times when my investment was in doubt due to times of conflict. but if  I  were born again, I would never take the gamble but take a safe option. Other than that, Nothing is often a good thing to say, and always a clever thing to say. The saving of man is the holding of his tongue. and a little bit of luck.

Nothing is very often the wisest (and the kindest) thing to say.
I hope life is treating you gently.

So many people take the cash offered and run. You wisely did not.

Andrew. oddly I have never been short of a Quid since I was a Nine-year-old when I acquired my first POSB, On leaving the RN my weekly pension was twice that of my weekly mortgage payment. plus a cheap babysitter when my wife had an office job at the supermarket five minutes walk away. I changed my workplace four times prior to coming to AUS on each occasion earning More. At the moment I am sitting on three retirement incomes and plus bank interest on deposits.
A bit of a philosopher, are you? I agree with you that Nothing is often the wisest thing to say. Unfortunately, those who should remain silent are often the ones who are making the most noise.

Susan Flett Swiderski. It is usually the bullying types who have the most to say but with less wisdom.
