That ship was the HMS King George V during a bombardment of the Japanese Mainland. Google to find out more.
I was serving on that ship at the time, I was a well seasoned wartime sailor of 19 plus.Vesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15390020901033513032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-6408080690225724372012-08-13T19:47:18.061+10:002012-08-13T19:47:18.061+10:00Kate: Due to a serious illness (C) I was in Sherbo...Kate: Due to a serious illness (C) I was in Sherborne Naval Hospital for several months soon after training in RN and was eventually on my first ship at 17. serving in the Atlantic , North sea, Mediterranean, East Indies and the finally 12 moths in the Pacific with the U/S fleet and based in Sydney Briefly to replenish.
There is so much more to be told .

Click the book pic for resume or a quick squizz. order book from publisher, I just don't have time to deal with this anymore, Not worried? neither am I, your choice.Vesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15390020901033513032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-53615569610383190112012-08-13T19:22:02.274+10:002012-08-13T19:22:02.274+10:00Adolf Hitler had kids of 14 onwards in the german ...Adolf Hitler had kids of 14 onwards in the german army at the end of ww2 and churchill had kids on warships at 15 so Ive been told from the start and before ww2. hells bells.
Lots of things we dun know.kate...fb.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-80216263123982822822012-08-13T12:42:04.356+10:002012-08-13T12:42:04.356+10:00Sort of straight from the horses mouth so to speak...Sort of straight from the horses mouth so to speak we get info about the top of the chain of the WNTS School, violence and apathy begets similar attitude from most of the staff, most persons having been to that school would give the thumbs down, regardless of a few people among the staff who were like-able.Vesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15390020901033513032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-38774238840750480592012-08-13T12:33:01.941+10:002012-08-13T12:33:01.941+10:00Edward;I am aware of the place your grandma and mo...Edward;I am aware of the place your grandma and mother are buried. I went There a few years ago,two miles from where I lived before going to that wretched School. It is a strange coincidence that your family lived there in the past unbeknown to me.
Mind you country miles were longer back then when shanks pony was the main mode of transport. Thank you so much for replying so quickly...Hello,

Thank you so much for replying so quickly. It really is amazing how the internet helps with these things. My mother (Captain Campbells daughter) was sent off with her mum and twin sister to Boars hill during the war. Captain Campbell divorced my grandmother and I know a lot less about him than my grandmother and her family. I'm beginning to think my mother was so quiet about him because he was such a nasty character.

I am getting the family tree together and I will send you more information as I get it. Its funny that you are from Oxfordshire as that is the part of England that meant most to my mother. She is buried in Berwick Salome (which I think is quite close to Chalgrove) along with her mother.

I am in an internet cafe now so I can't write for long but I will get back to you again soon.

This email address is the best to use for me. I use my hotmail account only when I have to leave an email address somewhere where it might get picked up by spam robots.

Thanks very much for all the information you have already sent.

Best regards,

EdwardEdward, T.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-54376919115346345382012-08-13T10:12:22.723+10:002012-08-13T10:12:22.723+10:00Superintendant Captain Campbell was a clone Of Bli...Superintendant Captain Campbell was a clone Of Bligh of the Bounty a real swine who relished dealing out punishment -Thrashings - himself he was a real Pig.JIM. old boy 88 watts from 1935 to 1941 then to HMS Frobisher, at 16 and a half.Jim , Old boy.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11610993.post-60103641500869629242012-08-13T07:11:36.932+10:002012-08-13T07:11:36.932+10:00Oh yes, I can just hear the 'it made a man of ...Oh yes, I can just hear the 'it made a man of them' brigade' in full cry!

Vile hole.the fly in the webhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04563871975125538755noreply@blogger.com
