Friends and Formerly Absent Family Members. It is "ALL FOOLS DAY"

Quite a turn out. Five sketchy seemingly unconscious family members who have never commented on this blog in its four years, fell hook line and sinker for the dubious offer on my recent posts, I am amazed that there is so much insanity and greediness within the tribe, covering both bloodlines.
However, the large majority of relatives (including some of those who never call here)I shall assume, were able to read and understand that it was another.................
APRIL FOOL JOKE.
No I cannot reveal the identities of the priceless opportunist Rello's, I shall leave that for them to tell you how they become disconnected from the real world.

If this post does not arrive on your pooter by Wednesday April 2 You may assume you have been 'Outed'.
Everyone have a thoughtful day.

Historic event. Vest was just Eighteen.
April 1st Easter Sunday 1945. The last seaborne invasion of WW2 took place that day on Japanese occupied Okinawa. Called 'Operation Iceberg'. During its eight weeks of continuous land sea and air fighting, losses were heavy on both sides and an estimated 250 thousand souls perished. But Vest made it.

BTW. "Your shoelace is undone".

4 blokes go on a hunting trip.

Their tents only have room for two men in each.

No one wanted to sleep in the same tent as Daryl because he snored so badly.

They decided it wasn't fair for just one of them share with Daryl the whole time, so they decided to take turns.
The first bloke to sleep in Daryl's tent comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes bloodshot.
His mates ask, 'Crikey, what happened?'
He answers, 'Daryl snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night.'
The next night it was a different bloke's turn.

The following morning, same thing, his hair is all standing up and his eyes are bloodshot.
His mates ask, 'Gees, what happened to you? You look awful!'
He says, 'Bloody Daryl shakes the roof. I just sat and watched him all night, I couldn't sleep.'
The third night was Frank's turn.

Frank was a big, burly, ex-footballer; a man's man.

The next morning he comes to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed..
'Good morning,' he says cheerfully.
His mates can't believe it.

They ask, 'Blimey, what happened?'
Frank says, 'Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Daryl into bed and kissed him good night.

Then he sat up and watched me all night.

Here is an actual letter that my brother sent my mother.
My mother said that it brought her to tears, and she sent it to me.

Cheese Toast
=============

Dear Momma,

I had to fix my dinner tonight since Stephanie is still recovering from
Pneumonia.

I heated up some vegetable soup and was preparing to make some cheese toast
with it.

It had been a very long time since I had eaten any cheese toast. As I was
putting the butter on the bread and applying the cheese, I thought about all
of the mornings that you fixed this for us before sending us to school. I
remembered the cheese toast, the oatmeal with raisins, the buttered toast
with syrup, the shredded wheat with bananas, and the heated orange juice.

It wasn't until I had to go through the trouble of preheating the oven,
getting out the bread, butter and cheese, aluminum foil, and fixing
everything that I stopped and realized the daily effort you spent fixing
our food.

I thought back to all of those mornings and the love that went into
everything. We ate very simple; but as I thought about all of the cornbread
and syrup, beans and rice and stir-fried vegetables, I realized that
everything you cooked I thoroughly enjoyed. We still eat a lot of bread now
because Momma fixed us all sorts of bread, and we enjoyed it.

I remembered eating these items every morning, but I couldn't remember
saying "thank you." It took me 35 years and a sick wife to realize the
the labor of love that you gave six sons every day, I want to say thank
you now.

I can never remember a time when I needed to talk and you weren't there.
I can't remember needing a mother and you were there. I can't remember
needing prayer and you were there. I can't remember needing a friend and
you were there. I can't remember needing a supporter and you were there.

We all get busy with the issues and responsibilities of life, but we should
never get too busy to stop, take time out and say thank you.

You are and have always been a remarkable mother. Even now just to hear your
voice holler in the audience as we speak, I say thank you for your support
and encouragement. We are who we are because of who we are and from whom
we came. This includes God, you and Dad. I will never forget that.

Even though this is not Mother's Day, Christmas or your birthday, I wanted
to take the time out at midnight before I went to bed to write this because
you mean that much to me and, you are someone special.

Out of all of the women I have met in my life, no matter how beautiful or
powerful, I have never looked at another and said I wish that was my mother.
I have always truly looked at myself as having the best mother in the whole
world.

I just started writing this really to say thank you for the cheese toast,
but the rest just came out as I wiped the tears from my eyes.

I love you Mother and think the world of you. I did the best I could to find
the closest I could to you for a wife because I saw what the pinnacle of
being a mother and wife was.

Good night,
Love,
James

India at G20 meet shows changing global economy - PM

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's presence at an emergency summit in Washington to decide on how to contain the damage from the financial crisis shows the changing landscape of the global economy, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said.

Emerging economies of the G20 are expected to demand a greater say in global financial decision-making at their summit with industrialised nations after the crisis put major nations on the verge of recession.

Singh, who left on Thursday for this weekend's summit, said in a statement India would push for greater inclusivity in the international financial system and emphasise the need to ensure growth prospects of the developing countries do not suffer.

"As a major developing economy which is getting increasingly integrated with the global economy, India has a vital stake in the stability of the international economic and financial system," Singh said.

Policy makers are struggling to fend off damage to the economy from the global credit crisis and have taken a number of measures, including rate cuts, to protect growth in Asia's third-largest economy.

The Bush administration said on Wednesday the G20 meeting should be able to identify some specific measures for calming anxious financial markets and said it was timely for them to meet now.

British officials in Washington chimed in with support for the meetings on Friday night and on Saturday, saying it might help restore battered confidence in markets by showing key developed and emerging-market countries were working together.

India's impressive growth of over 9 percent in the past few years has attracted global attention and investors have moved in to take part in the long-term growth prospects.

Its economic clout has meant India is an important voice in major global economic and political foras and New Delhi has been acknowledged as a leader of developing countries at world trade talks. Continued...

Hello Vest
I was at Watts Naval T S from 1945 to 1949, I left just before they closed the school as a naval school and moved to the Russell Coates school.
Its a shame that msn pulled the plug on their groups sites so we lost the site. It ended up with only about 3 of us regular posting. I have got just about every photo that can be found on the net.
When you tell people about how we were treated they find it hard to believe, it didnt worry me as much as where I was fostered in the year before I went to Watts was a lot worse. When i got my records from Barnardos there was no record of me being with those people.

I told the man that when I was grown up I was going to come back and give him a hiding, but the time I returned he and his old women was dead. Edward T Jones. Sturdee; 3 company, Number 183, from 1945-49.

teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colours: green, red, orange, and blue. My dad kept staring at him. The teenager would look and find him staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, he sarcastically asked, 'What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?'

Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response, knowing he would have a good one, and in classic style he did.

Not batting an eye, his response. 'Got drunk once, had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son.'

Howdy guys! I run a underground tattoo supply business in New York. Previously I bought all tattoo equipment at bulk prices but my supplier got jailed (believe it or not) so I'm in search of a low cost tattoo supplies company (online or offline) to buy tattoo supplies from. Here is an example of what I am looking for: Tattoo Supply. Thank you very much in advance for all tips dudes! PM me or write me at: triple6tattoo@hotmail.com
